Why Bees Are Disappearing
A video replay of a TED lecture by University of Minnesota entomologist and bee researcher Marla Spivak. Honeybees have thrived for 50 million years, each colony 40,000 to 50,000 individuals coordinated in amazing harmony. So why, seven years ago, did colonies start dying en masse? Marla Spivak reveals four reasons which are interacting with tragic onsequences. Bees pollinate a third of the world’s crops, so what does it mean for us? And what can we do about it? RSVP if possible to 952.474.7635.
