Classes and Programs

55+ Fitness Class
Mondays, Wednesdays & Fridays, 8:15 am
$5 per session (discount packages available)
Exercise classes for the active Baby Boomers! You can improve your aerobic power, lower body endurance, strength, flexibility and balance. It's a fitness class that feels like a party!

Zumba

Wednesdays at 6:30-7:30 pm; 7 week session is $49 and the drop in cost is $10

Senior Tai Chi

Mondays, $48 for 6 sessions
Instructor Ron Erdman-Luntz has been teaching seniors Tai Chi for over 25 years. Studies show that Tai Chi enhances the quality of life for seniors by improving balance, gracing us greater ease of movement and range of motion, and reducing stress. Give it a try! YOGA

Beginning Yoga 1
Tuesdays, 6-6:50pm
April 5th - May 24th
$64 for an 8 Week Session
$10 per Drop-In Class

This beginner's class will restore you with the healing art of yoga. You will learn foundational yoga postures focusing on technique to build strength and improve flexibility. Basic Vinyasa Flow yoga sequences will also be introduced. Ages 18+ are welcome in this class.  Bring a yoga mat.

Yoga 2
Tuesdays, 7-7:50pm
April 5th - May 24th
$64 for an 8 Week Session
$10 per Drop-In Class

This class is for those with some experience. We will build upon basic yoga postures and introduce new postures. Class time will be split between learning technique and incorporating postures into Vinyasa Flow yoga sequences. Ages 18+ are welcome in this class.  Bring a yoga mat.

Summer Zumba

Mondays, 6:30-7:30 pm 
Dates: 6/6, 6/13, 6/20, 6/27, (no class July 4), 7/11, 7/18, 7/25
7 week session (buy 6 sessions get the 7th free!) $42/$10 drop-in

Perfect For everybody and every body! Each Zumba® class is designed to bring people together to sweat it on.

We take the "work" out of workout, by mixing low-intensity and high-intensity moves for an interval-style, calorie-burning dance fitness party. Once the Latin and World rhythms take over, you'll see why Zumba® Fitness classes are often called exercise in disguise. Super effective? Check. Super fun? Check and check.

A total workout, combining all elements of fitness – cardio, muscle conditioning, balance and flexibility, boosted energy and a serious dose of awesome each time you leave class.

Wear light, layered, movement appropriate clothing, supportive fitness
shoes with little tread, a bottle of water, a sweat towel and don’t forget your
smile!!!

Beading

Every Tuesday, 1 pm, No registration necessary
Bring beads for group beading if you have experience! Come and learn and use our beads if you have little or no beading experience! This social beading experience is fun and there is plenty of room to spread out and design. For more information contact Linda at 952.475.1430.

Southshore Woodcarvers

Happy Feet

Third Mondays by appointment
Enjoy a foot massage & foot care with ‘Happy Feet’! Happy Feet is featured at the Southshore Community Center the third Monday of each month. Call 763-560-5136 for an appointment.

Senior Partners Memberships

Those 55 and over may support community programming and the community center with a membership to Southshore Senior Partners. Membership options: $25 for single $40 for dual. Any age may offer support with advanced giving levels: $50 supporting level; $100 sustaining member. Members get a newsletter, reduced price lunches, discounts on some classes and trips.
